Due to Planning etc. I have now moved my mobile 24' long Field Shelter which the Enforcement Officer wished me luck as it had become literally STUCK in a mud pit - due to the heavy rains and water from local fields. However 02..03.13 came and my friendly farmer and myself felt the time had come to give it all a try to complete the planning regulations of moving 4 times per year.

Yes, one tractor lifted one end, swung the unit slightly while the other tractor slowly dragged the unit!!!!! out of a mud sluice. We moved about 250 yds and the only thing that was broken was one drainpipe clip! wow what about that. I think this needs advertising.

We miss not having the Jon William Stables-Building Team here this week!

The Team put it up with considerable care and attention to detail that was also apparent in its design and cut of its timbers.

Given its sensitive location, viewed directly across the fields from the village church and situated on a hillside for all to see, it was vital that it looks good. And it certainly does!

Because of this aspect, we included cedar shingle tiles as roofing. These have surpassed our anticipation and give a warm and varied hue of colour that is also sympathetic to the rest of the landscape. We would strongly recommend anyone who orders Jon William Stables buildings to consider these as an alternative. The additional cost is clearly justified by the sturdiness provided by the extra battening, robustness, integrity and the overall look of the finished work.

We have a little bit more groundwork and some post a railing to finish before any animal can be moved in. The horses will be given strict instructions to keep their stables in the pristine condition that the Jon William Stables Team handed over to us when they left the site last week! When they are settled in, we shall send you a photograph of them and their new equestrian home.

The final element of the new stables at Park Corner Farm was completed yesterday. We are delighted with the building, and in particular we would like to complement you on the build process. The whole process was exceedingly smooth, from the help with planning through to the build itself, and the people who worked on the project went beyond expectations in making this a success.

We would especially like to complement your groundworks team lead by Jon. He was a major factor in our decision to go with Jon William Stables, and he worked both very professionally and very hard on the project. He was particularly helpful with ironing out the little wrinkles that we hadn’t completely thought through prior to the build or that emerged during it (not too many thankfully), and was instrumental to making the finished product a success.

Wow, seven weeks have passed

Wow, even weeks have passed and the stables are truly well used and have been great. We love them as do the horses!

Just a quick e-mail to say thank you to your team for comming on Thursday and making such a fabulous job of constructing our mobile shelter. We're so pleased with it. We're very impressed with the standard of workmanship, especially the finishing touches such as the trim on the outside corners,. I'm sure the owner of the land will have nothing to complain about when she sees it! One of the two horses has been in and out quite a bit, but the other is still a bit wary. He goes as far as the base frame, then sticks his head in as far as he can. Oh well, at least the front end will be fly-free in the summer, if nothing else!! I'm sure he'll get used to it, especially once we fix the hay rings inside and add a haynet for edible temptations

Thanks again and we will definitely be recommending you to anyone we know who's after wooden buildings...and if we ever move to another site, we'll probably be after you for some fixed stabling too!
